The Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne is mega in every sense. Ran it from Tuolumne to White Wolf because of solo logistics (was originally going to take the YARTS bus once/day from White Wolf to Tuolumne, but finished a few hours earlier and decided to try hitchhiking off the main road which took a lot longer than I thought it would).
This route was challenging and stunningly beautiful and I'm so glad I got to experience it this way. I saw no one until a few park employees the last few miles and the remote and committing nature of the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne is one of the things that makes it appealing as well as makes it challenging as a solo run.
There was plenty of water in the river and lots of places to refill water. There was probably a 40-degree difference in temperature from when I started to the bottom of the canyon, so would recommend bringing layers. Lots of downed trees (and a few bears!) the final few miles and the campground/lodge at White Wolf was closed when I ran this.
