Really great day out! Left Pearl Street at 8pm on Saturday. Met crew in Jamestown for some fuel and water before heading up to Peak to Peak. Cut through some seldom-used OHV areas of Roosevelt National Forest. Route finding was a bit tricky here! Got to the Longs trailhead at 3am. It was a cold and windy day up there. Going up was slower than planned due to stopping to layer up quite a few times! Some slick/wet rocks, but overall not bad! I retraced my steps home, picking up various friends along the way! The one change to me route on the descent was taking Olde Stage instead of Lee Hill. It may have added a bit of distance, but less climbing sounded good to me. The weather was hot towards Boulder (89 degrees) which threw me for a bit of a loop coming off winter temps up high!
Really cool to summit downs from downtown, although I could have done with less road miles!
Excited to see other women go for it!
