Female solo unsupported Test Way FKT, UK - 27th June 2021.
Started 0533 at the Combe Gibbet carpark, finished 1558 at Eling Wharf, i.e. one-way north to south. My Garmin ran out 14 mins before the end so the last bit was captured on my phone Strava and uploaded separately. Total running time 10 hours 25 mins.
The weather was misty and raining for most of it, some sunshine in the middle. The route is mostly trail with some sections on small roads / lanes. The first section is quite hilly, the middle is along a disused railway, the last section has a lot of fields with stiles which are tricky when tired! The whole route is net-downhill.
I carried all my own nutrition and used an MSR Trailshot hand pump water filter to fill my bottles from the river en route.
I ran the first half then adopted a run-walk strategy from 27 miles.
No major incidents, an enjoyable effort.
