Beautiful fall day on Williams Peak - highly recommend timing a push on this one for fall, as the colours are stunning in the meadows and the gully up to the summit. Steady pace up, a 15 minute break on the summit, steady pace down until the final 900m descent which I chose to bomb down (which goes to show that there is lots of meat left on the bone here). I've dug around on Strava and local knowledge and can't find any faster C2C times, but would not be shocked if there is one out there... please submit your time if so! I'd love to come back and put a really hard push on this next year, it's a valley classic and deserves some faster times. Also entirely non-technical, despite what some may say. No scrambling required!
[Nick was with me until about halfway down, where I dropped him to see how fast I could go. We carried all our separate gear but certainly were together for most of the time.]
