The five highest peaks in Marin County (Mt. Tamalpais (all 3 peaks), Bolinas Ridge, Pine Mountain, Loma Alta, and Big Rock Ridge), starting from Mill Valley at the Depot on the corner of Throckmorton Ave. and Bernard St. and finishing in Novato at the intersection of Alameda del Prado and Nave Dr.
I took advantage of the beautiful weather to explore Marin County via the 5 highest peaks, on a circuitous route from Mill Valley to Novato. Lots of great views, big trees, fun trails, and fast fire roads. I dropped water at 3 locations beforehand but was otherwise self-sufficient and solo. Worked great to park at the finish, take buses to the start, and run the point-to-point route back to the car. Long day but worth it! First female FKT for this route.
