I'm enjoying the "all trails" concept and was glad to see another park to explore near our travel route this summer. I did some recon in June and returned to try the whole shebang today.
John dropped me off at the north end, and I started early to cover as many miles as I could before the day warmed up. I enjoyed seeing the pueblo, then running in the canyon and looking up while imaging ancient people watching me. I was happy to see more pueblos along the orange trail, and also glad I had come once before to look at everything more closely the first time around.
I did a blue/green/blue trail loop and a couple out-and-backs to cover most of the orange trail before dropping down the connector to the east trailhead. Then up the road a short way to the truck for resupply.
The second half was warmer, of course, as I set out to trek the yellow and green trails. The temperature didn't bother me too much until I was about out of water during the final mile. My pace dropped in response, just gotta get there eventually... July is likely not the ideal time to spend the whole morning out there.
