Really enjoyed this loop! Coming from the lowlands, not acclimated, and that's a big haul up to the crest, but the scenery makes up for it. It has been too long since we've been in the desert. Aspens and ravens, bonus! Loved the cool air up high too. It was hot at the end, as expected, but at least it's a dry heat :)
I carried everything with me including water, no support. Had a couple very minor nav questions but the route is mostly obvious. Happy to have a shot at the first posted female time, because this should get beaten easier (even a different version of me could do it when acclimated to the altitude and with better trail knowledge).
Also super excited about my new InReach Mini! Not only the tiny size/weight, but also with the ability to log much more frequent intervals. Very nice.
