Got dropped off at the start in Badby and then ploughed on through the mud for the rest of the 12 miles. Got lost a couple of times but turned back and rejoined the trail. The fog was an absolute nightmare for navigation and the mud was rough today but made it through. Had a great laugh and the look of horror on my partner's face when she saw me absolutely caked in mud at the end was priceless.
Didn't take any water or food with me, just brought my mobile phone in a backpack and went for it.
Would highly recommend this route to anyone in the Northants area as it has some good hills, lovely villages, and countryside to go through. The local ramblers were all very friendly and the house owners who had the public walkway going through their land were very helpful.
