1h56m05s on 7-11-2021. FKT unsupported has prob gone as another runnner with us at start has claimed 1h45m. I lost at least 5 mins at start going wrong in Badby woods ?
I just ran this unsupported in 1h45m10s. How do I claim it? I have it recorded on my Garmin watch.
Submitted, hope it qualifies.
Start and finish points? The LDWA states the SE end is the Butcher's Arms pub, the County Council guide says 'the centre' of Greens Norton village without defining where that is. The current 1:25000 OS map has one of those 'Recreational Route' green diamonds on the bit of road between the Butcher's Arms and the start of the Grafton Way. Other maps have the Knightly Way ending where it touches the road at the NE side of the village. The Grafton Way, which the Knightley Way is said to link up with in some publications, is variable described, but the current Council guide states that the start is the Butcher's Arms.
I suggest the joint finishing/starting point is indeed the Buther's Arms (perhaps the SE corner of the building, SP 66775 49825, as a precise point), with the northern end being the 'Knightley Way' signpost at the start of the scheduled FP at SP 56000 58710. The SE end of the Grafton Way is plotted to the buttress of the canal bridge at SP 80805 41335 in the current Council guide.
This makes the Knightley Way 18.6 km (11.5 miles) and the Grafton Way 21.3 km (13.2 miles), together 39.8 km (24.8 miles).
