Started this run on the Great Western trail in Sycamore on Friday a little after 1 p.m, and ended up in Villa Park little after 6. The path is in two parts with 8+ miles of road running to connect them. The total mileage is listed as 38.26 but I added a little more because took wrong turn that added close to 1/2 mile more to the connecting part to finish at 38.8. The weather was good, mid 50s with sun shinning and a slight breeze. There was a lot of traffic and wasn't expecting the hills on the road part but overall it was a nice run. I ran solo and my wife Lisa, who made this all possible, was able to drive along the course to take picture, cheer and to provide fluids(water and Power Ade) and gels. Also had a Pepsi and a PB&J uncrustable at 26 miles.
