Report

I traveled from north to south and ran this by myself. The northern trailhead begins across the street (southwest) from the Clark County Public Library. The trail is very flat and easy to follow. There were plenty of gas stations to stop and refill water and calories, but the first 20 miles were quite desolate. Also, be sure to check the gas station hours, as some were closed when I ran by. Once you pass under I-71, the old-growth forest begins, which was the best part of the run. When you reach the active hunting area (it was live when I went through), look to the west, and you'll see a bald eagle's nest. I completed this run three days before Christmas in 2024 and would recommend doing it during warmer weather if possible because you'll have more light to work with.  I drank mostly water with an occasional gas station Powerade mixed in.  Carbs came from Maurten gels and about every other hour I mixed in a packet of LMNT for salt.
