Anti clockwise effort on the Sheffield Country Walk route, starting at the Don river crossing nr Middlewood. All in a great and varied route always keeping you interested, not always the easiest to navigate but some of it is signed.
I ran a mix of supported and self supported, using my partner in the car through the Peak and shops at Coal Aston, Treeton and Ecclesfield to resupply on the rest of the route. The route could be done self supported by using shops/pubs/cafes for resupply.
Please note that the route shown on OS maps is now closed around two areas:
Catcliffe (new housing estate with no footpath yet reinstated)
Ecclesfield (closed foot crossing over the railway line)
I made reasonable adjustments to divert around both of the above which added a little distance to the original route.
My GPX upload and submitted time includes a 1km each way commute to my start and end point.
