Report

Good day. Split 4:23 for the Tuolumne Triple and then hopped in the car and drove to Saddlebag Lake for the Alpine Triple. Drive time of 40ish minutes so the Alpine Triple split was probably around 3:40 or so

Some notes for transparency

-drove myself, but did refuel at my car with water when I drove between trailheads

-used the 'resume later' function on my watch to get a total time without including driving distance

--Tanner Wanish reported doing this route in 9:48 in 2024 so that was the time I was trying to beat

-Did Tuolumne triple first, whereas V and Tanner both did the Alpine Triple first. Did that because I thought driving out of the park would be easier and I wanted to do the hardest climbing early. Also wanted to beat the crowds on Cathedral Peak

-Like V and Tanner, I left the West Ridge of Conness out of the link up. V writes in his report it would feel contrived to add another summit of Conness. I chose to leave it out because I was interested in beating the previous time, so based on precedent. Would be cool to add the West Ridge in but would make comparing prior efforts a little muddied

-I took the little climbers trail to cut out some road time between the campground and the dam. I feel comfortable doing this because it is an open course route with lots of off trail time already, and there is precedent for it on other Conness routes, but worth mentioning because I think V and Tanner both stayed on the road. it saves maybe 5 minutes or so
