I started in the evening after work. The sky was clear and the trail was dry. I went up in one push because I knew the trail wasn't super long- it felt good. I only passed by one other group on their way down. At the top, standing on the rockpile, I could see the edges of the sky turning to purple. I paused for a minute and started down the mountain. I wasn't really trying for an fkt, but I was in a rush because I had planned to meet my girlfriend for a drink at Iron Furnace afterward and didn't want to keep her waiting.
I'm sure many out there will be able to best my time. I don't think I'll have the fkt for long. However, I will still be proud to say that I had an fkt!
I'm going to give it another shot this summer with the intent of going afap. Good luck to everyone else out there- see you on the trail!
