On September 25, 2021 I ran the Shingobee Connection Trail northbound. I started at 6:30 pm, after work. I knew it would get dark on me on the jog back so I brought a headlamp. Studying Strava, it seemed that the best time was at a 7:05 pace (ignoring what is almost certainly a bike ride recorded as a run for the CR). I shot for a 7:00 min/mile pace and that’s about what I hit, getting to the northern terminus at 7:18 pm. Not sure what’s going on with my heart rate monitor. I took one gel and no water. It was a beautiful evening, with temps around 60 and the fall colors close to peak. I ran by myself, unsupported. I saw one person walking on the trail.
