Max King ascended Mount Defiance in approximately 1:09 (if you study this track) [Note: as we read the data on Strava the ascent time was 1h11m49s, or possibly a few seconds faster] on September 2, 2017- the same day that a massive wildfire began to engulf most of the Columbia Gorge region. The fire has been devastating but hasn't yet overtaken Mount Defiance as of yet.
