Alpine start around 330am. Immediate VK before gaining the ridge. Drank 3L, about 2k cals. Training lode 365. Really, no joke. Very exposed in sections and often unrunnable, a few borderline scrambly seggies as well: fun, but slow: a fall in some places would be grim. 12 summits, ridgeline for miles, views of the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, Finsteraarhorn, and maybe a hundred more? A Swiss Classic. And a route of a lifetime. Absolutely wrecked me in the best way. Did not see anyone else attempting the whole enchilada, but a few folks on the Augstmatthorn for sunrise and a few hikers closer to Brienzer Rothorn. Otherwise just cows, sheep, and ibex! Nice to know even very undertrained the body can cash the checks, albeit begrudgingly, slowly, and with protest
