First attempt at running around the entire island of St John USVI.
It was HOT, roads were STEEP (going up them on my toes, that's how steep they are), trails were a bit technical.
Still debating whether i should have worn trail shoes or not. They'd have helped on the trails, but also on the roads given how steep they are and how slippery they get if it rains a bit.
Self-supported: Bought water at the "Love City" convenient Store in Coral Bay at mile 10.0, and again in Cruz Bay at mile 20.1 from the concession on the left side of the road. I drank a total of 2 Gallons of fluid water and some electrolytes, and still felt very dehydrated by the end. Don't underestimate the heat and humidity down there.
Looking forward to seeing how fast some fellow runners can get this done!
