This FKT route starts and ends at the Klein Bay Drive sign on the South side of the island of St John, USVI. The route takes you counterclockwise around the island on a mix of technical trails and steep roads. You will discover beaches and trails most locals do not even know about, like Parrot Bay (mile 1.50). The trail is hard to find but it's there. There is a telephone/power pole on the left side of the road, somewhat hidden from everything but the trail is there. It is steep and technical but not long. Bang a left on the beach until you reach the cliff where you will need to rock scramble your way around. Beyond this, you're on marked trails or roads all the way around. It gets hot down here. And I mean HOT. Take a dip in the water when needed. Prepare your water stops (the convenience store Love City in Coral Bay is on the route and opens at 6:30AM), there will be nothing from there until Cruz Bay. It's a long, hard, and hot stretch with not much shade on the North Shore road.
