70 and sunny in October, couldn’t ask for a better day for it. Conditions were good, but a bit slick on the slabs and loose rocks after last night’s rain. Touched the jersey barrier at Sholan Farms parking area at 55:27, climbs a bit slower on the way back. Ankle took a full-on roll at mile 12 or thereabout. Slowed way down and hiked the whole climb up South Monoosnoc, then got the wheels back on and gassed it until the gate trying to make up time. Relatively happy with the effort at the end.
Kudos to Cameron and Steve for setting blazing fast times on this route. The margins are getting slimmer, but I bet it's possible to go 1:50 on a cool, dry day.
