Was traveling in the LA area and saw this route right next to where I was staying, so I decided to go give it a run!
The only time I could get in this run was around noon so it was fairly warm. I ran alone and did not bring anything with me. The only shoes I had with me on this trip were pegasus trainers which have practically no tread, and this made some of the steeper descent sections a bit tricky (basically surfing on scree!), so I would definitely recommend trail shoes for this. Even though most of the run is on well groomed dirt I think it would be well worth it. Overall, this loop has nice views and fun single track segments; route-finding can be a bit tricky, but I'd definitely recommend any trail runners traveling through the area or living in LA to go out and run it!
