FKT: Melanie Salas - Woody Gap to Blood Mtn on the AT (GA) - 2019-09-01

Inspired by Emelie Forsberg's statement that women need to be proud of our achievements, and need to start recording FKTs, I noticed that this route did not have any female records, which is sad. It is such a popular route! A lot went wrong on this run - I overshot the "end" and killed about 7 minutes up top. I have a cold, and my chest congestion killed my speed on the climb out. BUT, despite that, and knowing that this time is sure to be beaten by some other strong female force, I humbly submit it to the FKT site, to draw awareness to the lack of female times.
