Greg Best and I ran/hiked to the summit of Wheeler Peak in Great Basin National Park from the trailhead parking lot. The route was insanely windy with scattered thunderstorms. We had running vests stocked with food and water, and we did not stop anywhere along the route for water or additional supplies.
