A warm sunny day in Jersey.
This was the first ever attempt at this route which starts at Gorey Harbour and crosses the vast Intertidal area on Jersey's East and South coasts and ends at St Aubins.
Jersey has the third largest tidal ranges in the world, with over 12m on Spring Tides. In fact, Jersey doubles its area between high and low water spring tides!
The route passes by a number of historical Tower's, Castles and Fort's which are used as mandatory Way Points along the route.
The scenery is at times like a moonscape and crosses beach, sandbanks, gulleys flowing with sea water, rocks and a short tarmac section where it is impossible to remain on the intertidal/beach area. It is also mandatory to climb accross some rock sections to reach the mandatory Way Points, where you will have to take a photo s evidence.
This was a Self supported run with my own nutrition and water, given that the distance is not too extreme.
A completely unique and fun challenge!
However, please do carefully check the tides before attempting this challenge.
