I started the route at 8:00 AM on Saturday, November 25. The weather was mild for the season: I wore gloves, long pants and long sleeves, and kept them on for the entire loop. The headwind on the return made the last 25 km more challenging.
I carried all my planned nutrition in my hydration vest: 5 gels, 2 bars and 2L of water with electrolytes. I had no external support, no extra water or food, and ran entirely solo.
