I believe I lowered the FKT to 4:07:38 on the Bigelow Traverse today. This was my first time on this trail and it offers some beautiful Maine-style running. The mountain ridge with Flagstaff Lake in the background is stunning. I knew it was close so I really started pushing the last 4 miles or so. Just then it started to rain and I ran into long trains of youth groups coming up Little Bigelow. What great luck! At least I beat the rain off of the ridge. Felt solid all day and washed off in the lake before the drive home.
