After work, I decided to get a 2pm thunderstormy start on the Gray - Skylight - Marcy route. My goal was to break the FKT at a steady effort without getting hurt. I thought I ran pretty consistent, despite a rolled ankle (on a perpetually weak right ankle - from many rolls) and very wet terrain. No views today at the summits but that's how I like it. A gray and chilly Adirondack weekday gives me life and that is why I live here. Overall, fun route and would love to go back and improve on this next year.
