Report
Summited Hurricane via the primary trail from 9N. This is my first true "harder" effort in the winter. The trail was uniform and pretty well-packed down from weekend foot traffic. However, the odd 45F/sunny weather turned the snow a little softer than "perfect". According to the Strava segments, I climbed Hurricane in 39:37 and descended in 21:24, good for a NEW WINTER FKT of 1:04:01 (elapsed). I have the SUMMER FKT in 1:05:26. Hurricane continues to be one of the greatest vantage points in all of New York!
