Started at 5am at Andover war memorial at just before sunrise. Temperature quickly rose to 26 degrees on a hot day. Gorgeous views coming down into Highclere and through Pamber Forest then down to Fleet ponds (where I felt like jumping in because of the heat) and then a made my way to Aldershot to finish at the war memorial, giving it a kiss in good ol' Hardrock (kiss the rock) fashion.
Had support crew at Sidley Bottom (in the car park by the footpath), Burghclere (in the park car park), Kingsclere, Tadley, Bramley, West Green House (by the footpath NOT the NT property) and then at Fleet Ponds (car park). Managed largely on isotonics, rice pudding, gummy bears and root beer.
No pacers on route.
Well recommended.
