I expected the snow to be gone by now, so I gave this route a first try today. Luckily I was right, there are only a few steps with direct snow contact left.
I ran the track clockwise starting on a parking lot at the south of Steinheid. I brought my own food and water. 2 liters were plenty for today, but since there is no opportunity to fill up the bottles you have to take a lot water at a summer attempt.
Almost all of the path is runable, but there are 5 or 6 big trees blocking the way. You have to scramble over and under them.
At 2 occasions I left the GPS track (my clock alerted me that I was off-track) but I was always following the official "K6" signs. I find sings to be a more reliable source, so I decided to stick with them.
This was a mostly relaxed attempt at training pace. Should be easy to beat. Have fun while doing it.
