The mountains included are Black, Buck, Sleeping Beauty, Erebus, First Peak, French Point, Huckleberry, Brown, Five Mile Mountain, Fifth Peak, Cat, and Thomas. Cat and Thomas were relatively easy, and the elevation gain isn't too aggressive. The walk in/out to/from Cat is long and flat. The Tongue Range (First, French, Huckleberry, Brown, Five Mile, and Fifth) is very long and there is a lot of elevation gain between the first three mountains encountered and the last three. Black, Erebus, Sleeping Beauty, and Buck can be done as separate hikes, or one long traverse. Back side of Black is pretty steep, and a well needed break after the hike up. The walk from Black to Erebus is exhausting and long, but relatively flat. Going from Erebus to Sleeping Beauty is a walk in the park until you have to gain elevation to get up Sleeping Beauty, but it's definitely not the hardest climb in the 12. From Sleeping Beauty to Buck is very easy. It's all downhill with a road walk to get from the Sleeping Beauty trail head to the Buck trail head. Doing Buck from the Hogs town side is steep, but quick (only 2.5 miles). At that point you can continue down to the lake (over Buck) or come back the trail you went up and finish at the trail head near Hogs town
