Report

We were a group of three attempting this route. As far as we know, it had never been completed on foot before. The idea came from an old 68 km cross-country skiing loppet, whose last edition, from what I could find, was held in 1998.

The day before, we packed our camping gear and drove one car to Rang St-Julien (MSA), then continued to Forêt Montmorency, where we camped before the big day.

We started at 6:57 AM. The first section of the route was by far the most technical, featuring a river crossing, poorly maintained trails, and an old suspension bridge that had to be crossed carefully. After reaching Chute de la Rivière Noire, the route became much easier, following mostly gravel roads used by the forestry industry.

We finished just before 2:00 PM. Completing this route felt especially meaningful because both the starting and finishing points are places where we have trained our entire lives as cross-country skiers.

Note: La Seigneurie de Beaupré (Terres du Séminaire) is a private territory. Please respect the regulations and obtain the necessary permissions before accessing the area.
