My run began at the north exit of the Lawson train station and finished at the east exit of the Medlow bath train station. I ran alone, unsupported, carrying all the water and nutrition i needed.
It was a hot day with a cool breeze. The creek descents and ascents are very overgrown and covered in an inch of slippery eucalyptus leaf litter making for very slow going down hill and hard hiking uphill. I fell over quite a few times and acquired lots of new scratches on my legs and arms. Even having run this route multiple times i needed the navigation prompts from my watch.
I ran a consistent run taking it easy on the early runnable sections, slowly and safely descending the technical downhill, hiked hard on the uphills and finished with a strong uphill road run at the end.
I'm happy to put down this time, a PB for me, and looking forward to see some more runners attempting the route and surpassing my time!
