The start was great. Right out of the village center of Bad Urach within 400 meters I was out in the woods, climbing up 300 meters up the Albtrauf.
From there it was a constant up and down under the trees along the edge, until the long downhill into Owen and the final uphill to Burg Teck.
I had planned to get something to drink in the two villages along the way, but no shops were to be found. So the planned self-supported run turned into unsupported.
