Carried out on Mountain Day in Japan, I headed across Yatsugataki on a perfect summer's day. Given the occasion (Mountain Day), there were a lots of other hikers on the range. The section past Tengu is particularly treacherous due to the large slippery rocks, fallen trees, and boggy terrain. Looking forward to trying this route again in the near future and knocking time off the FKT.
