19 miles through Americas Revolutionary War history. Beginning at the minute man national park in Lexington you traverse along battle road passing historical landmarks that helped shape this country. From random spots where British soldiers were buried to the paul revere capture site and even the famous location of “the shot heard around the world”. You continue throughout the town of concord before heading onto the rail trails that connect concord, Bedford and Lexington and take you right back to where you started.
In case you didn’t know ... I’m a GIANT history nerd. I go through the fastest known time website every night like it’s the newspaper and saw this awesome route with no time set so I started contemplating going for it until I got a DM this morning from someone that really motivated me to get out of bed this morning and go after it. Took it nice a slow so that I could really enjoy all the beauty and historical sites along this trail.
