Wow, that was hard. Snuck it in between heat waves, still pretty balmy. Car-camped the night before at Berry Patch.

Route conditions: Berry Patch to Walupt is pretty overgrown with frequent blowdown. It's intended pretty sure they avoid it. Nanny Ridge and PCT were nice and flowy. 3 dozen goats high up in Cispus Basin. The traverse is described fairly and having the track helps, but it took me 3h to do 2mi (I'm not as nimble as I used to be)! Descending Ives is the crux (unless you count my ill-advised variation on 7210). I recommend ascending 7210 from PCT just past where you're even with the summit, like Joe. I thought I'd get smart and go a little further down and take the N spine up, but it was horrible and scary. PCT from Snowy to Goat Lk was the roughest segment of PCT I've ever seen. There are enough side trails that using the track is wise. Goat Ridge had a fair amount of good running, especially the last 2mi. No snow on the route. Blueberries were amazing above 6k', and flowers still pretty.

I thought the FKT was lost for me when I left my poles at the Hawkeye summit, costing a solid 15min and 300' vert. I considered stopping in defeat and wallowing in blueberries. But fortunately I overestimated remaining distance, and the last section finally allowed some speed.

I consumed 9L fluids and that wasn't enough. Yay snow fields!

Thanks to Richard for a spectacular route, and to Joe for recommending this and setting a time that would really challenge me.
