With the trail being paved from Collins to Slater and me recently acquiring a running stroller (for longer multi day runs) I decided to give the trail a rip as an unsupported out and back. Break in the stroller and find my stride adjustments needed to run with one free hand at a time. It’s a smooth sailing rail to trail with endless views. Plenty of shade throughout as well. There are some historical markers along the way which I always enjoy.
Hardest part for me was rolling past the Casey’s in Huxley (twice) basically on the trail. Damn unsupported ruined my chance at a donut.
Anyway, I hope others take on the out and back or east/west variations. There could be some fast times on this one, especially if you are not pushing an overloaded stroller the entire way;).
