I found this FKT a while back when a friend ran an FKT somewhere else and I started digging into the closest ones to me. I drove through route the day before and read both of the previous peoples reports. Thank you again for your details!
I ran more of Jenny‘s route than Tico‘s. The weather on the day was actually quite nice but this course is just a mind F.
early on everything was feeling good and I started doing walk run breaks with my music that was playing. I still felt good when I got to the halfway point at Whole Foods and eat a slice of pizza. When I got on the west side of town and all the traffic in the Galleria things changed. My music went off and my will to run went with it. I was able to turn my music back on for the final 4 miles and finish in under 11 hours. I was very happy to see my car was still in the Shipley’s donuts parking lot when I got back. I will say that I thought most of the time that it might not be there or at least have a broken window
