I ran northbound in unsupported fashion in 4:39:16 then shuttled back to my car in Island Pond via bike. One gigantic moose was encountered along Bluff Ridge, and spruce grouse were everywhere. Except for a small group on the popular Bluff Mountain Lookout section, I saw no people all day. This brand new trail is a must-see for anyone wondering what ancient New England trails felt like when they were first cut.
