Lovely day for a run down the East Lothian Coast run as part of the IAU Global Solidarity Event. The route has around 650m of ascent, so a little more than the original GPX uploaded. The GPX file is very accurate and I only made a few mistakes, all my own fault and not the fault of the GPX. The route has a mix of road, trail and beach and lots of single track. The trail from North Berwick Law to East Linton and then onto Dunbar is really up there with the best I've been on, the views, the twist and turns the up and down, it has it all. I hadn't been on the route from Dunbar to the end before and I was in for a total treat. This is a stunning part of East Lothian, although the parts of the route on the pebble beaches was tough to run on. I stopped way too many times to take pictures to record a truly fast FKT, there is a lot of time in this first attempt to take off and a supported runner could probably take a good chunk of this time on a good day. Wonderful route, a must for anyone looking for a relatively short and flat trail run.
