Early August, I completed the first summer crossing of Death Valley. Because most of the park in a Wilderness Area, I had to follow dirt and paved road (no bike/trailer off-road). I traveled between dawn and dusk. It was rough at time but, with the right training, the heat was manageable. I carried everything I needed, including water as there are no natural water points along the way.
