Was excited to hit the route in beautiful evening light as a pit stop on the drive out to the Eastern Sierras. Encountered several snow patches in the gully above May Lake. Ended up in some sandier terrain too far climbers left on the way up. Definitely agree this can go under one hour – will have to give it another go!
