I ran the Sky Marathon from North Lake (Piute Pass), to Pine Creek Pass on Sunday 8/27/23. I left my car at Pine Creek the night before and received a ride up to the trail head at North Lake on Sunday morning. I ran it completely alone and with no assistance. It was going smooth until I reached the intersection for French Canyon Trail. I accidently got distracted from some hikers peeing alongside the trail, and in an effort not to look at them, I completely blew past the junction and ran an extra 1.57 miles on Piute Canyon Trail. That being said, I don't know if my time will be accepted because of the additional mileage I added on by mistake. Thought I would submit it because no females have and just see if it would count. I had a running vest on and just ate what I brought out with me. Water is abundant this year so filtering with my Katadyn BeFree filter was very easy at multiple points along the trail. I was able to grab some water and filter it into two 500ml HydraPak softflasks while still moving. The trails were very wet and lots of creek crossings so my feet were wet for the entire run which kept it nice and refreshing!
All in all, it was a grand time! Just wish I didn't add the extra mileage by mistake but the extra mileage I did add, was mighty beautiful. So, I can't be too upset.
