13 laps! First time ever running over 50 miles, so it was an educational experience. I thought the weather was good but by the afternoon I was very salty and had a hard time taking in fluids without feeling nauseous. Maybe in the fall, when it's cooler, I'll take the full time and see how far I get. But for now I am content that one of the FKT types is held by a true manhattanite (live on the UES and run in CP almost everyday).
To those thinking of going unsupported I stashed one bag in the north woods and another near the benches at Engineer's Gate. The one in the north woods was stolen/taken around 1pm. The bag at Engineer's Gate was there until I left around 6pm. I actually attempted this FKT several months ago and both of my bags, poorly hidden behind some trees were stolen/taken. So watch out!
Lastly, I just wanted to shout out that I actually ended up running with Oz, by chance, in the NYC Marathon in 2022. He dropped me on the QB bridge, so way to go Oz.
