Beautiful and technically challenging route across the Alps for which I enjoyed the best weather imaginable. I was particularly happy about the constant sunshine during some of the most technical bits (Johannesscharte, Langtalerjoch, Grünsteinscharte), which could get quite sketchy in wet and foggy conditions. That made it easy to tolerate the afternoon heat that hit me in the sun-exposed Inntal on day 3. And I really liked the little-trodden paths down the Ötztal with its alpine forests, meadows, farms, and villages. I had to circumnavigate two small temporary path closures within the first and last 10 km or so, respectively. Photos are on my Strava.
