The trail was much more overgrown than we had expected and the going was pretty slow through the Swan. Everything was soaked from the rain the day before. It started to warm up as we ran into the Jewel, and the trail was absolutely beautiful. It was a good bit more runnable from the Jewel Basin to the finish, but sore muscles started to slow us down in the last 15 miles. Overall, the route is amazing, and it would be even more enjoyable a little bit earlier in the season before things got too overgrown.
