There were 4 of us running I was the only female runner in the group, this was a charity fundraiser and we had people supporting along the way.
We set out at 0730 in the morning, with an aim to complete the route in 7hrs
We had fuel stations at 8 miles, 18 miles, 24 miles, here we stopped for water and food this enabled us to carry less on the run. We had to take a detour as the canal path was closed due to renovation works, the detour was 2 miles along the nearest road however it took us back on track along the canal where we were able to get back on track.
Flagged: There was a route error at the start. The Oswestry Round completes a loop by running along Llangollen Canal between Sarn Lane and Station Road, but Shelley's group started in the town of Ifton Heath. While her route is about a mile longer, it is important to follow the official route.
