On August 21st, 2019 Sierra Bowden and I started the point to point route from Many Glacier Montana to Logan Pass. We started out shortly after sun rise and had the trail completely to our selves after the first 2 miles. We completed the entire P2P 15.2mile route in 3:58:00 with over 5100 feet of elevation gain. Temperatures were in the low 50's at the start but quickly warmed up during the steep ascent up Swift Current pass. Water is plentiful along the entire route from snow melt streams and lakes. We used a B-Free water filter bottle to refill along the route. Coming down from Swift Current pass we ran around Granite Park Chalet for a quick picture break before heading toward Logan Pass on the high line trail. Traffic on the high line trail was light until the final 3 miles. Getting an early start was necessary to avoid crowds later in the day. Plenty of water the whole time. Amazing views and tons of wild life along the route.
