Andrew Ferguson, Simon Blackburn and Brendon Dean ran the majority of the way together with Andrew pulling away after Sealy Lookout to finish about 10 to 20min ahead. We also had other supporting runners running alongside us for various sections along the route covering distances of between 10km and 30km. We had supporters provide nutrition and hydration at aid stations located at 25km, 40km, 59km, 68km, 73km and 86km.
The day was very challenging with temperatures rising to around 30degC, possibly higher in sections. Our supporters thankfully provided us with plenty of ice, and we also cooled down in the 5 or so creeks that we crossed.
We had a great day out enjoying the beautiful forests and trails that the Coffs Harbour hinterland has in abundance
